I just thought back on all the movies I’ve seen during this past few weeks, and I thought it might be nice to post my thoughts on some of them to keep them fresh in my mind. And to force my opinion on you, of course, that’s what blogs are for! Of course, I don’t really want to write detailed and intelligent comments on 5 different movies. Well intelligent perhaps, but not the verbose kind of intelligent. So what better way to comment on them all than in the form of short and useless reviews?

I have now obtained my own cell phone. Until yesterday, I must’ve been the only person in this country under the age of 50 without my own cell phone. I suspect they hand them out to new born babies in the maternal ward these days. As I wrote previously, this hopeless lack of cellular technology was almost entirely isolating me from the existing social circles of my friends.
I got a Samsung E330, so now I will hopefully soon be back in the loop. Well, I’ll be in the loop at least. I don’t think I was ever there to begin with. I’m still slightly apprehensive about joining these circles anyway, in my experience, they are full of drunk people and techno or pop music. Sometimes even mind-altering substances. Well, besides alcohol I mean. I’ve also been told they contain girls though, so I guess I’ll just focus on that part and do what I can to avoid the rest.
I still outright refuse to speak with this thing in trains and restaurants though. I always make a point of removing myself from strangers when speaking on the phone, so as to not force my personal matters on their consciousness. And now I have nothing more to write about, so I don’t see the point of making this post any longer. Ta.

After much fuzz, I made it back home yesterday just after midnight. My return journey started when - with a firm belief that my train would leave half past 6 pm - I checked my ticket only to discover that it would in fact leave 20 minutes past 5. This gave me 40 minutes, which was only enough because I’d already had the foresight to pack everything. I hastily said goodbye to everybody and turned in my keys, then I walked down to the metro and went to the central station.
At T-Centralen, they were rebuilding. Boy were they ever. Fences and yellow tape and rubble and police everywhere. Not to mention people. TONS of people! So there I was, in an underground network of train terminals filled to the brim with busy Swedes being directed by the police through a sea of rubble. And I had no idea where my train was. I had arrived at T-Centralen at 5 pm and I spent 15 minutes futilely asking for the way to the right platform. Finally I found an information booth with a lady who spoke English, and she told me I was in the metro station, and I needed to go to the central station, which was back down to the nearby platform and then all the way to the other side. So then I ran. Once I was in the right station, I quickly located the correct platform, and then I made it on board half a minute before the train left.

Stockholm rox.
I ain’t kidding either. The Greenpeace office is in Gamla Stan (old town), it’s like taking the most awesome parts of Copenhagen, multiplying by 10, and then dropping it in a rocky landscape surrounding a large bay. As a guy who’s lived all his life in a country which is basically a sedimentary basin made up of all the crap that’s washed down from Sweden and Norway for the past several billions of years, and where the tallest point is “Yddinge Skovhøj” with its dazzling 177 meters, I’m really hyped to see cliffs in the middle of the city.

For once, I’m a little intoxicated right now, so I figure this might be a good time to post an LJ entry - might make it more interesting than usual. No promises though…

I find myself in a position where so much has happened since I last updated my blog that I have a truckload of things to say and no particular order to say them in. I also only remember half of them, and often not even in their entirety. So now I’ll just let my mind wander, and you can skim over it until you find something interesting or reach the bottom of the post.
