Chris Avellone just moved from MySpace to LiveJournal. This happened 3 days after I moved from LJ to this place.
Now, I like it here. But if there’s one thing OTP doesn’t have… it’s Chris Avellone.
Typical.

So buy him out.
Buy Chris Avellone? Hmm, intriguing. What do you figure his market value is? Would he be cheaper used, or is he the sort of thing that gets MORE expensive the older it gets…? Like a Les Paul from ’66.
Since I don’t know who he is (well, not the name, the games I know obviously) it the market value can’t be THAT high, however, as time passes, more and more people may get to know him and therefore more people want to buy him.
Using the simplest of economics: More demand while retaining the same supply will increase the price (unless the quality drops with time). I’d buy low now and sell him high in 10 years, when your next game is finished and he is in high demand (meanwhile you can work on getting his name out, PR and such, don’t pull a Romero though).
