MGS4
I want this game out for Xbox 360:

But alas, it seems to be a PS3 exclusive. It’s the sort of game that could make me buy an entire game system, if not for the fact that the PS3 costs the price of a small farmstead. It’s unfair, really, there are only something like 5 major stealth franchises in the world: Deus Ex, Thief, Splinter Cell, Hitman, and Metal Gear Solid, and I’m completely missing out on MGS because I’ve never bought a Playstation.
I wonder if there’s a PS3 emulator for PC, hrm…

I played MGS on the PC (awesome) and MGS2 on PS2 (less awesome, but still worth playing). I also have it for PC, but it didn’t work right.
I have no doubt that it will not remain exclusive for more than 5 years, and in the meantime there are other games to look forward to. So in the very least I’m not going to buy a PS3 now, maybe in 5 years, when I could get it for 50 euros on the second hand market.

You expect me to wait for this game for 5 years and then suffer under substandard graphics like I suffer every time I play Deus Ex!?
Surely there must be a better solution

Well as far as the rumor goes it might show up on Xbox360. I remember reading, i think it was a gamasutra interview, with the main MGS guy who said someting along the lines of “Well we can´t guarantee that it will be a PS3 exclusive….”. Comparing that to the old “There is absolutely no doubt that MGS will be a PS3 exclusive…” - theres a big difference. Im hoping Microsoft are doing there worst (like the old simpson episode) to get the game for Xbox360.

I expect to have MGS4 on Vista and/or X360 within two years, depending on the amount of cash flowing from Redmond to Konami

I could live with two years. After all, I’ll have Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed, Kane & Lynch, Rock Band, GH3, Crysis, Hellgate London, and possibly Bioshock and Fallout 3 to entertain me in the mean time.
