Last of the Wilds
Having finally acquired a proper video editing program, I pulled some recent cat footage off the tape in my camcorder and made a little video with it. I decided to edit it to the instrumental Last of the Wilds by Nightwish because it was a great fit and I’m really into celtic music at the moment. The result, should my video plugin choose to display it, can be seen below as a 19mb flash file:
In addition, I have uploaded a more high-quality 62mb downloadable MOV-file
for those of you who don’t like streaming video (weirdos). And in addition, I accidentally encoded it in MPEG2
, but even RAR’ed it’s 185 megs. It’s very big and very high quality though.

Damnit man, 185 MB and still no sound? Or maybe I’m missing a codec, could be
Anyway, I wouldn’t want to run into buster in a dark back alley o.O

There’s sound on my version of the file, so you’re probably just missing a codec. But otherwise you should try the streaming, I really don’t think it’ll be very interesting if you watch it without sound - it’ll just be a regular cat video. Although they are very active cats.
I’m using Media Player Classic, fyi.
The thing about YouTube is you get all these assholes bent on telling you your video sucks or your cats are stupid. I’m not putting anything as personal as a cat video on YouTube.

Thank god that had subtitles
The video does seem different with music, but I still wouldn’t want to run into buster in a dark back alley o.O

Hahah! Well contrary to how he looks, Buster is actually a really nice cat, but he might still jump you and lick your hair unless you gave him something to eat. You really don’t have anything to fear unless you want to comb his fur. Or unless you’re made of filet.

This is a nearly criminal act of music vandalism.

My editing isn’t that bad, surely.

What? No no, it’s the whole concept of setting a good track of music to a home movie of your cats that should be illegal and enforced with some kind of elite police force. Perhaps the same police that monitor when games rip scenes from good films.
(ripping bad music/films is perfectly fine, btw)
Also VERY good-looking cats. Their fluff will consume the world.

Oh quiet you elitist, I’ll do whatever I want with this music! Until somebody sends me a cease and desist. But don’t get any funny ideas!
And thanks.

You’ll do whatever vandalizing you want to the music. Vandal.

I didn’t realize you were such a big Nightwish fan.
Maybe in my next cat video set to a Nighwish song, I won’t edit out the boring parts. That’ll teach you.

Don’t call me a big fan of certain musical groups that learns things!
How dare you! Not only am I not fat, but I don’t even own any Nightwish CDs or any of their full albums otherwise. I just don’t like vandalism in general. And if you make another cat video set to ANY music, I will steal your muffins. That won’t learn me nothin’. Except how to make you cry from all the muffins you don’t have anymore. Vandal.

Well gee Smike, if you want my muffins all you have to do is ask. I’m always happy to share my delicious muffins.

Oh god. Is this one of those occasions that I ruin one of your jokes?

Hit me with your best shot.

I’m sorry, I can’t think of anything better than pointing at your post and once again saying that there’s nothing that I can say.
Well, except: The King Returns.
