An open letter
Dear Danish customs,
I can’t help but notice you’ve been holding my copy of Mass Effect since December 3. Quite probably because it was shipped from Singapore via England or something suspicious like that. I’d like you to know that I’m quite okay with you adding 25% to the price, because that’s the way our society works, and I’m happy to pay my due to the state in return for all sorts of awesome things like free health care, free education, pension, roads without holes, etc. Besides, even after I’ve paid taxes off of Mass Effect, it’s still significantly cheaper than if I’d bought it from my favourite Danish mail order store, Coolshop.dk (in fact it’s about a 150 kr. cheaper), so it’s fine, I’m cool with it.
But just get it over with. How can it possibly take more than a week (NINE DAYS and counting, in fact) to charge me 62 kr. and get on with it? Just print out a nice letter saying you’ve taxed me the proper amount and release the goddamn package. This is just ridiculous! I’ve been anticipating this game for well over a year and now I have to wait for your painfully slow bureaucracy to get off its ass as well!? SEND ME MY GAME.
