Exactly! We're switching back and forth between Ventrilo and TeamSpeak at the moment because we're looking for a good server with a decent sound quality. Ventrilo seems to produce the best sound, but Nick found a good free server with TeamSpeak today where you can create private channels, so we're probably sticking to TS.

Sorry, it's too late - I already ordered it. I play with a single-earpiece headset on Xbox and that works just fine, it's only the voices you're gonna hear on the headphones anyway :)

Hm I used to have a wireless bluetooth USB headset at work, that worked quite splendidly. I dunno. How about this:

http://www.compumail.dk/vare-oversigt.php?varenummer=61319&type=hardware

I've always had problems with my sound cards, I don't know why. I haven't had an external card since I threw out my old Soundblaster 5.1, but even now that I use built-in sound, it just. Won't. Work. I always end up spending 20-30 minutes just tweaking my sound settings.

The expensive microphone I recently bought is USB, and for the first time ever I can just plug it in and record.

I have been satisfied with Logitech USB headsets, the ones that cost € 45, not those that cost € 10. Only problem is that when you get up from your seat and you forget that you're wearing a headset ... you get the picture ;)

Wireless would of course get rid of that problem, but I've never used wireless headsets.

Troubleless wirelessness - obviously. Other than with mouse and keyboard I find it incredibly usefull for headsets. A class 2 device provides you transmissions within the radius of 10m without the need to be in line of sight with your PC.

Using your soundcard saves CPU-time because that what they are there for and the sound could be better if you manage to configure it correctly.

What's the problem with USB? And what's the advantage of Bluetooth?
