Firefox 3.0

In a way, it’s kinda sad. I’m sure this version is crammed full of new security features and performance optimizations, and yet the only feature that stands out to me is that when you drag something from a page (such as an image or a block of text), a shadow of it follows your cursor.

Speaks to the importance of interface, doesn’t it?

Or possibly it just tells you how easy I am to impress.

The only really noticeable features are the aforementioned “shadow”, the new address “awesome” bar, and bookmarks. Of the three, I really like the new bookmarks system, since I can now easily tag bookmarks with searchable keywords. The address bar is taking a bit more time to get used to, but I’ve pretty much adjusted to it so it won’t be much longer before I wonder how I ever did without it :P

The new address bar is a little shocking yeah, but did you notice they also changed the downloaded files list? You have to right-click to remove individual files from it now. This is… probably a good change, but I’ll have to use it a bit more to make up my mind.

You can just press ‘delete’ to remove individual files from the download list ;)

The awesomebar is quite handy because you only need to remember a part of the URL (not necessarily the first part) to find what you’re looking for :D

Don’t know about the bookmarks though, it looks the same to me, what’s different?

That also was there in FF2, or at least the button was there. Not that it worked, probably :P
