Hello
I have a problem launching my counter strike, and my steam as well.
Everytime i double click steam this error pups up:
"Steam.exe (main exception)): CMuliFieldBlob(pSerialized): Partial field header at end for record"

I've tried to uninstall my steam but it still doesn't work. Any one who can help me out here?

Actually Guillermo, those features you have mentioned are included in server side mods for Red Orchestra and as part of the game core for Darkest Hour and Mere Nostrum mod, as well as more realism server side addons for those core mods.

RO could be more realistic without the insta-map, global chat/voice, kill notifications and stats. Short range VOIP with 3D sounds would add the immersion effect ^10.
Let's see what RO2 brings to the table...

Well the paper isn't prescriptive, so it wasn't my place to write about how I'd change either game. You should look at the GameTrailers videos for Red Orchestra 2 though, if you haven't already, they're doing a lot of impressive things. Tripwire really have an eye for the details.

-O.K. but the tactical possibilities are not explored. How would you make RO even more realistic? RO2 said to feature co-op, therefore the AI must be D-E-C-E-N-T to start with.
Sounds great to me BTW, because they won't get away with the usual deathmatch bot. Im hoping for something really impressive. With details like - the axis preference for ppSh submachine gun.
The twitter entry of yours directed me here, thanks for the article, great, because I never played RO, but willing to play the sequel.

On an academic note:
"First, however, an extremely brief explanation of how I use the term “authenticity” in this paper."
It is extremely brief in the fact that the explanation is actually about how you are not using the term "realism", but only extremely briefly touches "authenticity". I think it could be improved by adding the categories you are going to discuss later, and defining "authenticity" for each one of them.

"However, my analysis of both games has confirmed my early impression that the fundamental difference between Counter-Strike and Red Orchestra is the detail level."
You never state that early impression, before the conclusion. It's like saying "I knew Denmark would beat England 2-0", after the game ends.

This also ties in with my general feeling while reading, that you're not working towards some point specifically. While you have done your research (I presume, I haven't played either game), you don't seem to make any point in your conclusion (unless you were not trying to, then my point is moot I guess).

On an EER note:
